GOP TO TAKE CREDIT FOR REBUILDING THE COUNTRY AFTER TRUMP PRESIDENCY

The United States - With a presidential election approaching that is too close to call, the Republican party is trying to get out in front of the national dialogue by explaining the benefit to the United States in a post-Trump presidency. Party-line conservatives are trying to appeal across the aisle to progressives, while energizing the base in one fell swoop.
"Government regulation is out of control," says Senator Richard Burr of North Carolina.
"Deregulation of government will usher in a fire that will cleanse the system of all of its excess weight. We can trim the fat by completely and utterly destroying our entire system. Afterwards, the economy can be jump started by a huge boost in new manufacturing. I mean, we'll definitely need it after Trump. The man will destroy the country in a way that will make us redefine what it is to destroy a country. Pol Pot Schmal Schmot."
The idea of a country rising from the ashes appeals to conservatives and progressives alike.
"Even though I wholeheartedly oppose pretty much everything Trump has to say, from his Wall to his idea that the Chinese created global warming," comments Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-MA), "I have to say, the idea that George W. Bush and Reagan left us with such bad situations that we, democrats, were able to turn around, is actually kind of appealing. Can a phoenix rise from the ashes if there are no ashes from which to rise?"
Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton rose to the comments saying, "I can destroy the country, too. I can, I can, I can completely obliterate it. We're talking the biblical city of Tyre. Like in the book of Ezekiel, '[Boston] will be a place for the spreading of fishing nets.' Donald Trump will destroy things in the interest of himself and his cronies. I will spread complete destruction for everyone."
Donald Trump, apparently befuddled by the new idea, has decided to run with it.
"Folks, we're gonna have 'uge destruction. Nothing like it. Wasteland. Toxic, I mean everywhere. When I'm finished with this country, we're going to need to keep the wall to keep people in. When Donald Trump destroys something he blows it away. Just wait folks. Mark my words. Nothing. Left. Period."
